Shovel Knight is a platform video game developed and published by Yacht Club Games. The game was released for Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, and Windows in June 2014, and was later released for other platforms, including PS Vita in April 2015.
In Shovel Knight, the player controls Shovel Knight, a knight who uses a shovel as his primary weapon. Shovel Knight must traverse eight worlds and defeat eight other knights of “The Order of No Quarter”, recruited by the witch Enchantress to stop him.
