Resistance: Burning Skies is a first-person shooter video game developed by Nihilistic Software and published by Sony Computer Entertainment in May 2012 for the PlayStation Vita. It is the fourth installment in the Resistance series and takes place parallel to the events of Resistance 3.
The game is set in New Jersey, where players control Tom Riley, a firefighter and National Guard soldier. Riley must fight against an invasion by the Chimerans, a hostile alien race.
The game features standard first-person shooter gameplay, with new elements such as the ability to use walls for cover and the ability to use a new weapon called the “Chimeratech”. The game also features an online multiplayer mode that allows up to eight players to battle against each other.
