Shadowgate 64: Trials of the Four Towers is an adventure role-playing video game developed by TNS Co., Ltd. and Infinite Ventures and was released for the Nintendo 64 in 1999. It is a sequel to the original Shadowgate, released for the Apple II in 1987.
The game is set 100 years after the events of the original Shadowgate. Now, Shadowgate Castle has been abandoned and occupied by thieves and monsters. A young half-dwarf named Del Cottonwood is kidnapped and locked in the castle’s dungeons. The player controls Del as he attempts to escape the castle and stop a dark wizard named Xel’lotath from being resurrected.
Shadowgate 64 is a classic adventure game with the first 3D graphic style. Players explore different areas of the castle, solve puzzles, fight enemies, and collect items. The game has an engaging and challenging storyline that will make players think and reason.
