Sakura Taisen 1 & 2 is an action-romance duo video game developed by Sega and released for the PlayStation Portable in 2006. The game is a remake of the first two games in the series. Sakura Taisen series, first released for the Sega Saturn in 1996 and 1998.
In Sakura Taisen 1 & 2, players will follow the musical group Takarazuka Kageki Kaidan, who are also warriors against evil forces. Players will control Ichiro Ogami, a soldier of the Imperial Capital Defense Force, as he joins the musical group and helps them stop a terrorist plot.
The game has two main parts: action part and romance part. In the action section, players will control members of the musical group in real-time battles. These battles require players to combine the attacks of different members to defeat enemies.
In the romance part, players will have the opportunity to date members of the musical group. These dates will help players strengthen their relationships with the characters and can unlock different endings to the game.
Sakura Taisen 1 & 2 was developed by Sega AM2, a studio that has developed many other popular action games, including Virtua Fighter and Crazy Taxi. The game is directed by Tetsuya Ohashi, who is also the director of other Sakura Taisen games.
