Shox is a third-person shooter game developed by Monolith Productions and published by Eidos Interactive in 2002 for PlayStation 2. The game is a sequel to Shox, released in 1998 for PlayStation.
In Shox PS2, players control David Jones, a former CIA operative seeking revenge for the death of his wife, who was killed by a mysterious criminal organization. Jones begins investigating the case and soon discovers that this criminal organization is involved in a larger conspiracy.
The game has three game modes: campaign mode, multiplayer mode, and challenge mode. Campaign mode is the main mode of the game and takes players through a series of action-packed levels. Multiplayer mode allows up to eight players to fight each other in different matches. Challenge mode offers players a series of challenges to complete.
Shox PS2 is highly appreciated for its graphics, gameplay and sound. The game has won several awards, including IGN’s Best FPS Game Award and GameSpot’s Best FPS Game Award.
