NeoGeo Battle Coliseum is a 2D fighting game developed by SNK Playmore and released in 2005 for the Atomiswave arcade system and later for PlayStation 2, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game is a crossover between the characters. from some of SNK’s famous game series, including The King of Fighters, Fatal Fury, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, Art of Fighting, Buriki One, Samurai Shodown, Metal Slug, The Last Blade, Athena, World Heroes, King of the Monsters, Aggressors of Dark Kombat and Savage Reign.
The game uses a 2-on-2 tag-team battle system, allowing players to switch between their two characters during a match. Each character has a unique set of skills and fighting style, bringing a lot of variety to the game.
NeoGeo Battle Coliseum received positive reviews from critics, with the majority praising the battle system and variety of characters. The game was also a commercial success, selling over 200,000 copies on PlayStation 2.
