Guitar Hero: Van Halen is a musical rhythm video game developed by Underground Development and published by Activision. It is the third game in the Guitar Hero series to focus on the career and songs of a rock band, Van Halen, following Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and Guitar Hero: Metallica. The game was released on October 24, 2007 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and Wii.
The game features over 25 Van Halen songs, including hits such as “Jump”, “Eruption”, “Panama” and “Runnin’ with the Devil”. The game also features songs from other artists, including The Who, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin.
The game was positively reviewed by critics, who praised the song list, gameplay, and graphics. The game was also a commercial success, selling over 1 million copies in its first week of release.
