World’s End Club is a visual novel game combined with action-adventure elements developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by NIS America in 2021 for the Nintendo Switch platform. The game was written and directed by Kotaro Uchikoshi, who is also the father of the famous Zero Escape series.
The game’s plot revolves around a group of elementary school students, called the Go-Getters Club, who are visiting Tokyo when they are hit by a meteorite. When they wake up, they find themselves in a strange world where they must participate in a survival game called “Game of Fate”. In this game, each player will have to complete an assigned task, otherwise they will die.
Players will have to control characters in the Go-Getters Club group to overcome challenges in the game. These challenges can be logic puzzles, action battles or mysterious dialogues. Players will also have to collect clues to solve the mystery behind the game and the strange world they find themselves in.
World’s End Club is highly appreciated for its engaging storyline, interesting characters and beautiful graphics. The game has won many awards, including “Best Visual Novel Game” at The Game Awards 2021.
