Steins;Gate 0 is a visual novel game developed by 5pb. and Nitroplus, and was published by Spike Chunsoft US in 2019 for the Nintendo Switch platform. It is the sequel to the 2009 game Steins;Gate, and is set after Okabe Rintarou, the main character of the first game, uses his time machine to send a message to the past. This message prevented the D-Mail event that plunged the world into nuclear war, but it also resulted in the death of Makise Kurisu, Okabe’s girlfriend.
In Steins;Gate 0, the player takes on the role of Okabe Rintarou, who lives in a world where Kurisu is dead. Okabe founded a secret organization called Committee of 23, with the goal of finding a way to save Kurisu and prevent war. Players will have to use their time machine to travel to different times in the past and find a way to change the timeline to save Kurisu.
