Retro Mystery Club Vol.2: The Beppu Case is the sequel to the mystery decoding adventure game Retro Mystery Club, released exclusively for Nintendo Switch by Shinyuden Games in 2024. Continuing the success of part 1, The Beppu Case takes players to the beautiful Japanese city of Beppu, which hides a mysterious murder that promises to bring thrilling and challenging moments of discovery.
The story revolves around Masayuki, a young detective who, along with his assistant Ken, is assigned to investigate the murder of a famous actress in Beppu.
Masayuki’s journey of discovery leads him to the dark secrets hidden in the heart of Beppu City. He meets many odd characters, each with a connection to the victim and their own secrets. Masayuki must use his intelligence and logical reasoning ability to gather clues, decode difficult puzzles, and expose the villain.
Retro Mystery Club Vol.2: The Beppu Case offers traditional point-and-click puzzle gameplay, combined with elements of exploration and investigation. Players will move through different locations in Beppu, interacting with characters and collecting clues. Each clue plays an important role in leading the player to the final answer.
