HAMSTER’s Arcade Archives VOLFIED, launching on Nintendo Switch in 2024, is a modern take on Taito’s 1989 title VOLFIED. Players will be immersed in a challenging combat journey on this modern console platform.
VOLFIED takes players to the planet Volfied, where they confront an invading alien force. As a pilot controlling the Monotros fighter, you will use lasers to cut through the enemy’s energy field, liberate your territory, and protect your homeland.
VOLFIED’s special feature is the combination of action and puzzle solving. Instead of shooting down enemies directly, you will control the laser to draw a line around the enemy’s energy area. When the contour is completed, the area will be cut off and disappear.
With a series of levels with increasing difficulty, VOLFIED requires high flexibility and strategy from the player. Along with improved graphics and sound, the game also adds many new features such as two-player mode, online rankings, and a rewind system.
