Resistance – Retribution is a third-person shooter game for the PSP platform, developed by SCE Bend Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment in 2009. It is part of the Resistance series of games where the player will play James Grayson, a British mercenary, fighting against the Chimera epidemic that is spreading around the world.
Resistance – Retribution offers a compelling story with well-developed characters, a beautiful post-apocalyptic setting, and a vast game world with many different lands to explore. The game also offers a wide range of weapons and equipment for players to help them deal with the forces that threaten humanity, from submachine guns and grenades to missiles and battle armor.
The multiplayer feature is also a notable feature in Resistance – Retribution, allowing players to connect with each other to complete common missions or participate in fighting matches. Multiplayer game modes include a free arena, defend and destroy opponents.
However, some mixed opinions from the gaming community in terms of graphics and control mechanisms were also given. In addition, Resistance – Retribution is also not backward compatible with Resistance games on PlayStation 3, so players cannot transfer data between the two systems.
In a nutshell, Resistance – Retribution on the PSP is an engaging third-person shooter game with a compelling story, plenty of multiplayer features, and plenty of weapons and gear to explore.
