It is the third installment in the Nickelodeon Kart Racers series, following Nickelodeon Kart Racers and Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix.
In Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway, players will transform into a Nickelodeon character and participate in races on racetracks inspired by Nickelodeon TV shows. The game has over 40 characters to choose from, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, Aang, Korra, Ren & Stimpy, and many more.
