Persona 4 Golden is a role-playing video game developed and published by Atlus for the PlayStation Vita in 2012. It is an upgraded version of Persona 4, a game released for the PlayStation 2 in 2008.
The game is set in a small town called Inaba, where the player controls a young man named Yu Narukami, who recently moved to the town after his parents divorced. Yu soon discovers that the town is haunted by a mysterious phenomenon called the Midnight Channel, where high school students mysteriously disappear.
Yu and his new friends, who are also pulled into the Midnight Channel, decide to solve this mystery. They discover that this phenomenon is related to a parallel reality called the Shadow World, where Personas, spiritual entities representing the dark side of the soul, live.
Players will have to fight Shadows in Shadow World to rescue those who have disappeared and stop this phenomenon. They will also have to explore other aspects of life in Inaba, such as studying, working and building relationships.
Persona 4 Golden was highly praised by critics and fans for its engaging storyline, memorable characters, and immersive gameplay. The game has sold over 3 million copies worldwide and is considered one of the best games on the PlayStation Vita.
