Plastic Memories is a role-playing simulation video game developed by Kadokawa Games and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for the PlayStation Vita in 2016. The game is set in a futuristic world where humans have created robots shaped like children, called “Giftia.”
A touching story about friendship and memory
Players will take on the role of Tsukasa Mizugaki, a young man who has just been recruited as a “Memory Eraser” at SAI Corp. Tsukasa’s mission is to retrieve expired Giftia and erase their memories to prevent them from experiencing pain when their time ends. During his work, Tsukasa meets Isla, a Giftia in the final stages of her life. The relationship between Tsukasa and Isla gradually develops into an emotional love story.
Gameplay focuses on exploration and interaction
The gameplay of Plastic Memories mainly revolves around the player exploring the world, performing quests, and interacting with other characters. Although there are combat elements in the game, they are not the main focus. Instead, the game focuses on developing the story and relationships between characters, giving players an emotional experience and reflection on the meaning of memory and love.
