Siren is a survival horror video game developed by Team Siren and published by Sony Computer Entertainment in 2003 for the PlayStation 2. The game is set in the village of Hanuda, Japan, where the village’s residents transformed into strange creatures called “Shibito”. Players control one of three main characters, each with their own abilities and strengths, as they attempt to escape the village and learn the mystery behind Shibito’s transformation.
The game was highly appreciated for its horror and tense atmosphere, unique gameplay, and engaging storyline. Siren was adapted into a 12-episode anime television series in 2004.
